Itinera

Explore our customer case where Tecomatic served as a strategic partner and was involved in everything from planning to the dismantling of our silt curtains.

The client’s challenge

Turbidity-generating work near a fairway

Itinera was contracted to build the New Skuru Bridge in Skurusundet outside Stockholm. Typical challenges in this type of project involve turbidity-generating work near the water and the bridge foundations. In addition, there were strict requirements regarding the regulations for passing boat traffic, as the project was located directly adjacent to a fairway with daily boat and ferry traffic.

Our solution

Strategic partner - from planning to dismantling

Itinera chose to bring in Tecomatic as a strategic partner to both plan and carry out the environmentally demanding measures required in the project. We participated in the design work and produced the silt curtains according to the project’s requirements and assembled the system on site. During the course of the project, we enabled both inbound and outbound passages at both bridge foundations.. We also carried out supervision and inspections on selected occasions.

When the project was completed, we dismantled the silt curtains and ensured that no turbidity or sediment disturbance occurred, while also conducting continuous turbidity measurements.

“We are very pleased with how Tecomatic carried out the entire project for us. They participated in a competent and professional manner from the planning stage through fabrication, installation, inspections, and the final dismantling at the end of the project. I can highly recommend working with Tecomatic.”
