Clean water and healthier ecosystems – Tecomatic brings new life to Beijer Park

Innehållsförteckning

Today Sydsvenskan draws attention to the important dredging work that we at Tecomatic are carrying out in the pond in Beijers park, Malmö. The pond, which is 1.75 meters deep at its deepest point, has been filled with a meter-high layer of sediment consisting of a mixture of leaves, duck and other bird droppings, and muck. Although the soil is nutrient-rich, its nitrogen and phosphorus content contributes to eutrophication.

With the help of our electric pontoon, we now collect 500 cubic meters of sediment that is led to three large geotubes. In the geotubes, the sediment is dewatered and clean water flows back to the pond. This is a sustainable and environmentally friendly way to restore the pond ecosystem and ensure its future health.
